Dr. Ana Nogueira has been a specialist in Dermatovenereology since 2011.
She completed her medical degree at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar (ICBAS, University of Porto) from 1997 to 2003 and her specialized training internship in Dermatology and Venereology at the São João Hospital and University Center (now called ULS São João), where she continues to work as a Senior Hospital Assistant.
She was also part of the teaching staff at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, serving as an instructor in Physiology and later as a Guest Assistant in Dermatology.
During her training, she completed internships at renowned institutions such as the Teknon Medical Center in Barcelona, focusing particularly on the use of LASER technology, light-based treatments, and hair transplantation.
She is the author or co-author of 36 scientific articles published in indexed journals.
Dr. Ana Nogueira is a member of the Portuguese Society of Dermatology and Venereology and participates in the Portuguese Dermoscopy Group, the Portuguese Pediatric Dermatology Group, and the European Society for Pediatric Dermatology.
She has specialized in Pediatric Dermatology and has a particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of hair and scalp disorders. In the field of aesthetic dermatology, she has extensive experience in comprehensive and complementary treatment of skin diseases and their consequences, including acne scars, telangiectasias (small visible blood vessels) in patients with rosacea, treatment of sunspots, and photorejuvenation using LASER technology and light sources.
As part of her routine practice, she conducts full physical examinations for skin cancer screening in all her patients.
