Treatments for Thigh Sagging

Treatments for Thigh Sagging

At Living Clinic, we offer a range of innovative and effective treatments to help restore firmness to the thighs.

Non-Surgical Treatments

1. Morpheus8

Using fractional radiofrequency and microneedling, Morpheus8 stimulates collagen production and improves skin texture, providing a firmer appearance.

Some improvements may be noticeable a few weeks after treatment, but it is normal to continue seeing progress for up to 3 months, as collagen stimulation is a gradual process.

At Living Clinic, we have developed our own anaesthetic protocol so that patients experience the least possible discomfort during this treatment.

Recovery is very quick and not painful, usually with 2–3 days of swelling and redness.

The small dots left by the needles are visible in the first few days but disappear completely after around 15 days.

Morpheus8 helps reduce thigh sagging, but it is also often used to treat belly sagging or sagging in other areas of the body, such as the neck or face.

2. EMSCULPT NEO

EMSCULPT NEO combines radiofrequency and high-intensity electromagnetic energy to tone muscles and reduce localised fat.

In addition to helping reduce thigh sagging through the action of radiofrequency, it also contributes to a more sculpted, firm and toned appearance of the legs through muscle stimulation.

3. EMTONE

EMTONE uses a combination of radiofrequency and targeted pressure energy to stimulate collagen production, improve skin texture, including cellulite, and reduce skin laxity.

Depending on the case, EMTONE treatment may be combined with EMSCULPT NEO for enhanced toning.

This non-invasive and generally painless treatment lasts approximately 30 minutes, depending on the area being treated, with a minimum of 6 sessions. However, a treatment plan will be created according to your individual goals.

Results may start to become visible after the first treatment, although this varies between patients and according to the degree of thigh sagging.

4. Body Radiofrequency (Plus)

Plus body radiofrequency is a body contouring treatment that stimulates collagen and elastin production, helping to achieve firmer and more toned skin.

To reduce thigh sagging with Plus radiofrequency, we often recommend 5 sessions of 45 minutes, spaced 1 week apart. However, as with any other treatment, a personalised plan will be created.

5. BodyTite

BodyTite is an innovative treatment that enables body contouring through RFAL technology, which stands for Radio-Frequency Assisted Lipolysis. It is performed in a single session and is often combined with liposuction in the operating room.

6. Collagen Biostimulators

Collagen biostimulators are injectable substances that stimulate collagen production. Some of the most popular are Poly-L-lactic Acid, commercially known as Sculptra, Calcium Hydroxyapatite, commercially known as Radiesse, and Profhilo, a tissue bioremodelling treatment.

Surgical Treatments

1. Thigh Lift (Surgery for Sagging Thighs)

In more severe cases of thigh sagging, surgical treatments may be considered. These treatments involve aesthetic procedures performed by a qualified plastic surgeon. This is the case with a thigh lift, also known as cruroplasty, a procedure designed to reshape the thighs by removing excess skin and fat, resulting in a smoother and firmer contour.

A thigh lift is most often performed in patients who have undergone significant weight loss. In these cases, the excess skin that can develop on the thighs may be considerable, with a negative impact on daily life and self-esteem.

The incision is usually made between the groin and the knee and may be linear, T-shaped or L-shaped. It is placed in the least visible area of the thigh, on the inner side. In selected cases, it may be combined with liposuction.

Note: A specialist medical assessment will always be carried out so that we can recommend the most suitable solution for your specific case, which may be one of the options mentioned above or another approach recommended by the doctor.

Frequently Asked Questions

The best treatment for sagging skin on the legs depends on the degree of skin laxity, skin quality, the presence of localised fat and muscle tone. At Living Clinic, we assess each case individually and may recommend treatments such as Morpheus8, EMSCULPT NEO, EMTONE, radiofrequency, BodyTite, collagen biostimulators or, in more advanced cases, a thigh lift.

Yes. At Living Clinic, we often combine treatments, such as EMTONE and EMSCULPT NEO, for example, to achieve better results in specific cases. Many patients wish to address several body concerns at the same time, such as skin laxity, cellulite and localised fat. In these situations, combining treatments may be the most suitable approach.

Yes. When skin laxity is mild to moderate, we can use non-surgical treatments that help stimulate collagen production, improve skin firmness and tone the legs and thighs. Available options include Morpheus8, EMSCULPT NEO, EMTONE, radiofrequency and collagen biostimulators.

The number of sessions varies depending on the treatment selected, the degree of skin laxity and each patient’s goals. Some treatments require several sessions to achieve progressive results, while procedures such as BodyTite or a thigh lift may be performed as a single procedure when clinically indicated. The final recommendation is defined after a medical assessment.

Results depend on the treatment performed. With treatments that stimulate collagen, such as Morpheus8, radiofrequency and collagen biostimulators, improvement tends to be gradual and becomes more visible over the following weeks and months. With a thigh lift, the improvement in excess skin is visible earlier, although the final result depends on the healing and recovery process.

A thigh lift is mainly recommended in cases of significant skin laxity, excess skin or body changes after major weight loss. This surgical treatment helps reshape the thigh area and improve the contour of the legs. In some cases, it may be combined with liposuction to optimise the result.
