Dermato-oncology

At Living Clinic, Dr. Paola Halfeld practices a complete physical examination for skin cancer screening on all her patients. With a careful and specialized approach, Dr. Paola performs thorough examinations and biopsies when necessary to identify suspicious lesions.

In addition, the Living Clinic dermatologist performs surgical procedures to remove benign and malignant skin tumors, ensuring an effective therapeutic approach and preserving the integrity of the skin as much as possible.

Dr. Paola provides ongoing support and follow-up for her patients.

Clinical Dermatology

In Clinical Dermatology, Dr. Paola Halfeld diagnoses and treats various skin conditions, such as acne, rosacea and dermatitis. The latest techniques and therapies are used to provide effective and long-lasting relief, which can also include prescribing medication and drawing up a care routine.

Advanced diagnostic methods are used to accurately diagnose pathologies, such as dermoscopy, a clinical examination carried out with a dermatoscope, which makes it possible to visualize structures in the skin. In selected cases, skin biopsy is indicated, performed under local anesthesia on the skin or scalp in order to obtain a pathological diagnosis.

Anatomopathological diagnosis makes it possible to identify morphological changes, such as abnormal cells, inflammation, infections or other pathological conditions. It is also very important in the diagnosis of a variety of diseases, including cancer, infectious, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Based on the characteristics observed in the samples taken, the dermatologist can make an accurate diagnosis and obtain important information for planning the most appropriate treatment for the patient.

Trichology

The trichologist dermatologist at Living Clinic specializes in the study and treatment of different types of alopecia (hair loss), offering a personalized approach for each patient, with the aim of restoring the health and vitality of the hair and scalp.

Using advanced techniques such as trichoscopy, the doctor is able to accurately visualize and identify a variety of hair problems, such as androgenetic alopecia, alopecia areata, cicatricial alopecia, seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp, fungal infections and other dermatological conditions affecting the hair and scalp. In certain cases, it also performs a scalp biopsy, which is relevant not only for diagnosis but also for the most appropriate treatment for the condition.

Living Clinic has the know-how, experience and products/equipment needed to diagnose and treat various hair conditions. Find out more about our hair treatments.
