This page shows the real Before and After photos of a Brachioplasty performed by a patient at the Living Clinic, by Dr. Francisco Martins de Carvalho.
What does the arm lift consist of?
Brachioplasty, also known as an arm lift, is a surgery that eliminates sagging arms by excising excess skin and fat.
How does it work?
Brachioplasty is the procedure that removes excess skin and fat located on the arms. The surgeon makes an incision along the inside of the arm, which can vary in length. The location and extent of the incision depends on the amount of skin and fat to be removed.
After removing the excess skin and fat, the remaining skin is stretched and sutured back to create a firmer, smoother contour of the arm.
In some cases, such as the clinical case presented on this page, liposuction can be used to remove additional fat and improve the contour of the arm. However, each clinical case has its own specific characteristics and the technique that best suits the patient’s expectations will be selected for each one.
Brachioplasty is performed under general anesthesia.
