What is Profhilo?
Profhilo® is considered a tissue bioremodeller. This product rejuvenates the skin and treats skin laxity, without adding volume.
Profhilo falls into the category of anti-aging injectable treatments.
This collagen bioremodeller is a highly hydrating treatment made from ultrapure hyaluronic acid, free from any chemical agents. In fact, it has one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid currently available on the market.
When injected, Profhilo acts on all layers of the skin, replenishes the hyaluronic acid lost through the natural aging process, and stimulates collagen and elastin production.
What is it for?
Profhilo is an aesthetic treatment mainly indicated for improving the appearance of aged skin, helping to treat fine lines, wrinkles, and mild to moderate sagging. This substance restores the skin’s firmness and texture, offering a lifting effect that contributes to a more youthful and healthy appearance. Additionally, it is effective in hydrating and increasing firmness across the face and is also recommended for preventing future lines and wrinkles.
Some of the wrinkles that Profhilo helps reduce include:
Dynamic Wrinkles: Formed through facial expressions, such as smile lines or frown lines;
Forehead Wrinkles: Horizontal lines from raising the eyebrows, or vertical lines between the eyebrows;
Crow’s Feet: Wrinkles at the outer corners of the eyes, more visible when smiling or squinting;
Nasolabial Folds: Creases running from the nose to the mouth;
Chest and Neck Wrinkles: Wrinkles in the area between the chest and the neck, often due to sun exposure.
How does it work?
Over the 30 days following Profhilo treatment, tissue remodeling takes place. The hyaluronic acid deeply hydrates your tissues. During this period, collagen and elastin stimulation occurs through the slow release of hyaluronic acid.
Application Areas
The most common treatment areas include the face and neck, but it can also be used on the décolleté, hands, arms, knees, and abdominal area.
Recovery and Aftercare
There is virtually no downtime. At the injection site, a small bump may appear, lasting 24–48 hours, which spreads out naturally and disappears after that time. As with all injectable treatments, there is a risk of small bruises at the injection site, which can be easily covered with tinted sunscreen or makeup.
We advise against swimming for 2 days and avoiding extreme temperatures for 1 week.
Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated area for at least 24 hours to reduce the risk of infection or product displacement.
Also avoid intense exercise for the first 48 hours, as it may increase swelling and worsen reactions.

Profhilo or Sculptra?
In short, Profhilo may be better for improving skin quality and hydration, while Sculptra may be more suitable for increasing volume and achieving deeper firmness.

Profhilo is more suitable for those who want brighter, firmer, and more hydrated skin, without altering contours or creating a filling effect.
Radiesse, on the other hand, corrects volume, contours, and sagging, with more intense collagen stimulation.
What are the possible complications of Profhilo?
More or less common (and temporary) complications:

Erythema (redness), edema (swelling), itching, sensitivity at the application site (usually resolve within 24–48 hours).

Small nodules or papules at the injection points (reabsorb within 1–3 days).

Small bruises (variable duration).
Rare complications:

What is the price of Profhilo treatments?
