Ultraformer MPT

Yes. Ultraformer MPT uses high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) and microfocused and macrofocused ultrasound technology. The device allows us to work at different depths depending on the treatment area and goals.

No. Ultraformer MPT is not a laser. It uses focused ultrasound energy to create controlled thermal points within selected tissue layers and stimulate collagen remodelling.

Ultraformer MPT is the latest generation of Ultraformer and introduces micropulsed technology, additional treatment modes and a wider range of applicators and cartridges. This allows for greater versatility and treatment personalisation. At Living Clinic, we use Ultraformer MPT.

The treatment is generally painless. However, the sensation varies depending on the person, the treatment area, the depth and the energy used. During treatment, depending on individual sensitivity, you may feel small pulses of heat or mild discomfort.

MPT technology was also developed to make treatment faster, which may contribute to better tolerance of the procedure. However, we do not consider it appropriate to describe the treatment as completely painless, as each person’s experience is different.

When appropriately indicated and performed by a professional trained in the technology, HIFU has a very good safety profile. Ultraformer MPT obtained CE MDR certification in Europe in 2025 (the CE marking indicates that the device complies with the applicable European requirements for being placed on the market within the European Union. MDR stands for Medical Device Regulation and refers to Regulation (EU) 2017/745, which establishes requirements relating to the safety, performance, clinical evaluation, traceability and surveillance of medical devices).

Before treatment, we carry out an assessment to rule out any contraindications and define the most appropriate parameters.

The number of sessions depends on the treatment area, degree of skin laxity, tissue characteristics and desired goals.

In some cases, results can be observed after a single session, but we do not determine the number of treatments based solely on a general rule. At Living Clinic, we establish the protocol following an individual assessment.

Some improvement may be visible immediately after the procedure, but the results tend to become progressively more noticeable as collagen remodelling takes place.

This process may continue for several months, with results evolving for up to approximately six months after treatment.

The duration varies from person to person. On average, results tend to last for around one year, depending on individual characteristics, skincare and the natural ageing process.

For this reason, annual maintenance treatments are generally recommended to help maintain the results for longer.

Yes. It may be an option in some cases of double chin and loss of jawline definition.

Treatment should be personalised because a double chin can result from different combinations of localised fat, skin laxity and facial anatomy.

During the assessment, we determine whether Ultraformer is the most appropriate solution or whether there may be an advantage in combining it with another treatment, such as Morpheus8.

“Full Face” is a term used to describe a treatment in which we address several areas of the face during the same session, rather than treating only one localised area, such as the double chin.

Treatment is always adapted to each person’s anatomy and needs; we do not necessarily use the same parameters or depths throughout the entire face.

These are different technologies, and we do not consider one to be universally superior to the other.

Ultraformer MPT uses focused ultrasound and does not involve needles, making it particularly interesting when the aim is to address lifting, skin laxity and contour definition at different depths.

Morpheus8 combines microneedling with fractional radiofrequency and may be particularly useful when, in addition to skin laxity, we also want to address concerns such as skin texture, scars or certain skin irregularities.

In some cases, we may recommend a combination of both technologies, as they work in different and complementary ways.

People concerned about skin laxity, fine lines, wrinkles or specific problem areas of the body may be suitable candidates for Ultraformer MPT treatment.

1. The professional cleans the treatment area and prepares the skin.
2. Ultrasound gel is then applied to the treatment area.
3. The Ultraformer MPT device is placed on the skin and adjusted to the appropriate settings.
4. Ultrasound energy is then delivered to the target area in short pulses for approximately 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the area being treated. During this time, you may feel a mild warming or tingling sensation.
5. The gel is then removed and a finishing cream is applied. It is recommended that you DO NOT take anti-inflammatory medication for the following 72 hours.
6. You can then return to your normal daily activities.

• Pregnancy and breastfeeding
  Not recommended as a precaution due to the lack of conclusive studies in these situations.

• Severe or active cystic acne
  Treatment may aggravate inflammation and increase the risk of spreading infection.

• Active skin conditions in the treatment area
  Such as dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections or active herpes, among others.

• Implanted electronic devices in the treatment area
  Such as pacemakers, defibrillators or neurostimulators, due to the potential risk of interference. The presence of metallic stents should also be assessed before treatment.

• Bleeding disorders or coagulation problems
  Such as haemophilia, for example, due to the increased risk of bruising or bleeding.
